Iconography is a facilitating art form which has significant spiritual import when you take the time to build a relationship with one which draws you.  This spiritual practice can mature and become a quiet place one can visit anytime.  It gives us the opportunity to enter the space of watchful silence.
Coming from a day of hectic activity, icon gazing can draw us down into a still, quiet healing place where the Divine enfolds comfort.   The gift sometimes shows up when least expected.   Simply showing up and spending the time is all that matters.
